I’m always trying to find something fun to do on a ladies night or double date. It never ceases to amaze me how difficult it can be to plan a new experience that myself and others will enjoy! So I may as well share a good idea I have for an up-coming ladies night!
Three girlfriends and I have a difficult time coordinating schedules to get together. So when we found a night to do so this month, I jumped on the chance to plan a fun gathering. One of these friends is from out of town so we’ll all meet up at Showroom and do some holiday shopping(as she has not yet been able to see the shop). I want to do something to make it extra special for my dear friends, so I emailed Showroom about this idea and Jen Chilstrom quickly got back to me. She explained that I could make this an exclusive event by reserving the shop and that Showroom could assist with hors’devours and cocktails. However i’ve decided to keep this fairly casual, so Jen is happy to allow me to bring in my own Champagne as a simple surprise to kick-off this rare ladies night! I should note that if you plan to throw your own gathering, it’s important to plan this with Showroom so as to prevent any event conflicts.
After we’ve “gotten our shop on”, the plan is to head over to the The Gray House for dinner. I’ve been dying to stop into this restaurant. It’s directly across the street from Showroom and has had many positive reviews from foodies in the area. I especially like the fact that the chef tends to use seasonal fare whenever possible, creating a unique dish that I haven’t had before.
If you’re thinking of planning a similar night for your friends, you could also consider Spill the Wine, which is a new location of the original wine-focused restaurant. I’ve been there a handful of times already and every time is better than the last!
