Yes, you caught me. I aimed for 5 but I just couldn’t eliminate one of these trends! All of them are huge right now and so easy to add into your style file this Fall and Winter.
1. Leather Land
Leather is everywhere right now. If you haven’t noticed then you may be living under a rock. The great thing about this trend is that it’s so easy to blend with your personal style. Add this great leather-trimmed peplum top from Madewell to your classic, feminine style OR step out in these edgy, all leather (and oooo so comfortable) leggings by Kjurek.

2. Tights (summer layering)
The great thing about tights is that they open up so many possibilities. Layering is a great thing. Don’t forget that there are different options as far as opacity and thickness. Wear tights with chunky, tall socks, leather boots and a long sweater-dress. Throw some sexy lace tights under your favorite ripped jeans. Keep using your summer staples into winter by layering dresses and skirts over tights, add a chunky scarf or sweater and you’re good to go.

3. Cozy Capes
Capes are definitely back in fashion, and let me tell you, I’m so happy about it. They’re so fun to wear! Adding a cape to your outfit immediately elevates your look from average to noteworthy. Many people seem to be intimidated by the cape, when really it is so easy to style! Pairing a cape with jeans, a buttoned blouse and flats is a great way to wear one casually, or dress up your cape for a glamorous night out with a short dress and tights. Cocoon by Elizabeth Geisler has a beautiful Cashmere Cape that’s available in Black or Camel.

4. Biker Boots
The impact of Biker Boots is huge. Right now zippers, clasps, belts and ties are all over leather boots. Pair a classic, flat biker boot with your favorite skinny jeans and chunky sweater, or find yourself a pair of biker-influenced booties and pair them with ankle-zippered leggings. Showroom carries the Tessa Louise Panelled Leggings that fit the bill.

5. Statement Jewelry
Oversized Jewels and layered necklaces are such an easy trend to pick up. Layer multiple necklaces together over your favorite dolman tee or pair a girly be-jeweled necklace with a great button-up. If you’re looking for something unique Showroom has great pieces that will really amp-up your collection! Shown here on the right is a beaded feather necklace by Ixmukane over a look by Cocoon by Elizabeth Geisler.
6. Comeback Classics
I’ve had to remind myself many times that classic cuts, colors and prints are always important for your wardrobe to be rounded and easy to work with. Right now, classic material like plaid and chambray are huge. I like to pair colorful plaid pieces with an otherwise monochromatic look. Chambray is great to pair with statement accessories or feminine bottoms like A-line skirts. Why not invest in something that is fashionable AND classic? It’s a win-win. Stop into Showroom and we’ll show you some great plaid pieces from Foat and Cynthia Rae! Just remember that fashion is meant to be fun! So play around and take some risks this season!
